Monday September 10th through Sunday September 16th

Astrological Highlights for the week:

Mars re-enters Aquarius on Monday; Jupiter in Scorpio makes a final connection (sextile) to Pluto in Capricorn Wednesday morning.

This week we reach another important milestone in the Mars Retrograde pattern. Hold down the screaming. Yes, I know, Mars is now moving direct. However, as an astrologer, I like to look at the entire process. After all, what's the good of going back to review if we don't bring our lessons and insights forward? Ok, can I continue now?

On Monday evening Mars has completed its work in pragmatic Capricorn and heads forward to visionary Aquarius. It's more appropriate to say, returns to Aquarius, since this is where it was when it retrograded in June. Ideas that were nothing more than hopes and dreams in the spring now appear more concrete and within reach. Like the sap beginning to flow after a cold winter, our passions are re-ignited. As Mars is the planet of energy, inspirations, and action, expect to feel a rush of motivation this week with a genuine desire to move forward, even against resistance. Aquarius loves being the rule breaker!

If you really want to know how to motivate someone, how to push their buttons and get a rise out of them, look to the placement of Mars in their natal chart (Sign, House and relationships with other planets). If you want to look more broadly to the Martian energy of the times, look to where Mars is now. As of Monday night, it will be in high-minded Aquarius. Intrigues and curiosities are now inflamed as this progressive and socially reforming sign gets its mental wheels geared up and moving. Want some examples of Mars in Aquarius in action? Look to the lives of Rachel Maddow, Joanne Woodward, Jimmy Carter, Caroline Myss, Maya Angelou, John Belushi, Edward Kennedy, Howard Hughes, Lee Iacocca, Charles Lindbergh, and Leonardo da Vinci. They were all born while Mars moved through the unconventional, futuristic, experimental, and revolutionary sign of Aquarius. (Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio hold onto your hats; this could be a challenging and yet very rewarding ride.)

We all have permission to be contrary, rebellious, and a bit opinionated while Mars moves through Aquarius. However, it's probably worth noting, we catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. In our revolutionary zeal, we can lose sight of the goal and simply surrender to the attraction of being a rebel without a cause. H.G. wells said, “Moral indignation is jealousy with a halo” and also, “Our true nationality is mankind.” The rebel may be one of the hallmark archetypes for Aquarius, but it's also the sign of humanity, philanthropy, innovation, and true friendship (people of like minds).

Expect to get inspired and fired up. Mars will be in Aquarius during the next two months, until the middle of November. Find your cause, your purpose and your reason for being. And oh by the way; Mars was in Aquarius on November 6, 1860. Doesn't ring a bell? It was the day Abraham Lincoln was elected 16th President of the United States.

Until next week, let go and wear loose clothes.

  • MOON in VIRGO/LIBRA

Moon Goes Void of Course 8:12am - enters Libra 8:20am

Mars enters Aquarius at 5:56pm

The day starts off on a hopeful note as the Moon glides into peace-loving Libra. However, when the Moon bumps into a disagreement with obstinate Saturn mid-day, watch for potential resistance or conflict. To appease the part of Libra that wants and expects fairness and justice, an adjustment needs to be made. Before calling someone else out on their behavior, make sure you are acting with honesty and integrity. Try to tune into your own prejudices and biases. If you are trying to pull a “fast one” or make excuses, you are likely to be found out. Likewise if others faults and weaknesses seem to jump out and demand correction, consider your intention and motivation. This is a chance to be honest with yourself and clean up your act. Try as we might, it's pretty hard to change anyone except ourselves. That being said; if something or someone seems a bit hinkey, your intuition is probably right on. Proceed with caution.

Tonight we reach another milestone in Mars' journey, which included a seven week retrograde pattern through the late summer. This evening, Mars has completed its work in pragmatic Capricorn and heads forward to visionary Aquarius. Ideas that were nothing more than hopes and dreams in the spring now appear more concrete and within reach. Like the sap beginning to flow after a cold winter, our passions are re-ignited. As Mars is the planet of energy, inspirations, and action, expect to feel a rush of motivation this week and the genuine desire to move forward, even against resistance. Aquarius loves being the rule breaker!

  • TUESDAY
  • September 11
  • MOON in LIBRA

Moon Goes Void of Course 3:57pm until Tomorrow 11:15am

We don't usually think of the Sun in Virgo as a busy body. But it's not exactly a cosmic secret the Sun is foretelling today as it forms a sextile with Jupiter and then a trine with Pluto. Jupiter in mysterious Scorpio is forming a significant and potent connection with Pluto in foundation-building Capricorn early tomorrow morning (shortly after Midnight, Pacific Time). Today as this powerful cosmic energy builds, the Sun aligns with both planets highlighting the coming attraction. Some might consider this a window of opportunity for evolutionary growth! The Sun's shout-out to the Jupiter-Pluto alliance gives us the heads up that today may be an auspicious time to focus and concentrate our activities and energies in a way that will promote the successful attainment of personal and professional goals that are close to our hearts.

This afternoon, as the Moon in Libra squares powerful and transformational Pluto, there could be a moment of hesitation or doubt. To say emotions run deep is an understatement! Are we really on the right side after all? What if we are wrong? Would that be such a bad thing? Are we so sure of what we are sure of? Whenever Pluto is involved there is the danger of blowing things out of proportion and making mountains out of molehills. However, this temporary moment of fear or trepidation could lead to an important turning point, especially with Jupiter and Pluto aligning late tonight.

There is a second planetary alignment we should be considering today. This one also builds through the day even though it doesn't reach its zenith until early Wednesday morning (2:01 Pacific Time). This opposition between Venus the planet of values and Uranus the poster child for revolution has an unsettling effect as we rebel against the rules and foundations of our thinking about love and money. Consider these labels of “love and money” as representative of bigger concepts including our beliefs and attitudes about our resources and everything that is lovable, valuable, and worthwhile.

With the Moon in Venus-ruled Libra, we may be overly sensitive to anything that seems out of balance or unfair. Righting a few wrongs may be uppermost in our minds as we move through the afternoon and evening. Before assuming somebody else is responsible for your dissatisfaction, consider how you may be holding yourself back or prisoner to outdated ideas and commitments. Rebel first against self-made prisons and then you can tackle the world.

Daily Muse:

It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather, our concern must be to live while we're alive - to release our inner selves from the spiritual death that comes with living behind a facade designed to conform to external definitions of who and what we are. (Elisabeth Kübler-Ross)

  • September 12
  • MOON in LIBRA/SCORPIO

Moon enters SCORPIO 11:15am

The first two hours after midnight are heady times for planetary activity. (See yesterday's write-up.) If you wake up this morning feeling like your dreams were filled with omens and messages, well, you are probably right! These insights can fade quickly if we don't take notice or action. With the Moon entering moody and deep Scorpio, we have our hands (and hearts) full with a changing sea of emotional tides and currents. Our wavering feelings can provide more than enough entertainment for the afternoon! Insights and intuition are abundant as well.

Tonight Venus reaches out to Saturn for support and stability and is duly rewarded. If your “boat” feels like it has been rocking with the waves and changing conditions, this is a welcome port in the storm. The desire for more independence or stimulation (Venus opposite Uranus in the early morning) is heard even within the structure of a relationship. If this is not true, and a partner is unwilling to listen to or consider options for change, it may be time to look at the “rules” guiding your partnership. Change is natural and invigorating for individuals and relationships alike. If the glue keeping you together is unyielding, Saturn may ask you to consider a different or higher commitment – one that is supportive of your growth. Saturn and Venus working together adds up to responsibility and commitment. However, we provide the purpose and the target!

Daily Muse: Losing your way on a journey is unfortunate. But, losing your reason for the journey is a fate more cruel. (H.G.Wells)

  • THURSDAY
  • September 13
  • MOON in SCORPIO

We may be more motivated than usual to put the past behind us and to confront lingering regrets, as Mars in forward-thinking Aquarius makes a helpful connection to Chiron, the Wounded Healer. Chiron has a way of pulling us into the past making us believe we are victims of circumstances beyond our control. It's ironic really, as these wounds are really perceived weaknesses, rather than real ones, and can be signposts for building our expertise and strengths.

With the Moon moving through introspective and emotional Scorpio it might be easy to get pulled into an emotional trap of our own undoing. But, (you know there had to be a but!), Mercury the thinker opposes Neptune the dreamer today. Now ordinarily this can be a confusing time; however, it might serve our purposes very well. Challenging irrational thoughts and ideas or even feelings and using a spiritual lens can help us climb out of a pit of self-judgment and find compassion, healing, and forgiveness for ourselves and others.

The Scorpio Moon like its Sagittarian neighbor can be a truth seeker. This Moon can be ruthless in uncovering the source of issues and feelings. Fortunately for us, lunar connections are positive and transformative today and maybe even a little bitter sweet as the evening concludes with the Moon joining optimistic and hopeful Jupiter. Time spent alone in reflection, journaling, or reading today is time well spent.

Daily Muse: The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind. (Caroline Myss)

  • FRIDAY
  • September 14
  • MOON in SCORPIO/SAGITTARIUS

Moon Goes Void of Course 1:54am - enters SAGITTARIUS 5:45pm

The Moon in thoughtful and private Scorpio makes us want to pull the covers back over our heads and “call in sick” to work or whatever personal plans are on our agenda. There is a distant strain of uneasiness brewing, or what we might feel as agitation. If you can gracefully duck out of your plans and escape your usual routine, do so, and pursue whatever feels right to you in the moment.

In early evening the Moon slides into adventurous Sagittarius confirming our earlier feelings that we just need to get a break from our every day schedule and habits for awhile. Maybe it's Mars moving through restless Aquarius, or the Moon seeking some private time. We don't have to know the reason. Listen to your feelings today without judgment.

Daily Muse: Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return. (Leonardo da Vinci).

Today on the Friday Morning Show, please join me for a thoughtful discussion based on A Course In Miracles. Why wait for heaven? You will find me on 12Radio.com at 9 am Pacific – Noon Eastern on 12Radio.com.

  • MOON in SAGITTARIUS

The Moon in expansive and buoyant Sagittarius keeps this day sailing on a relatively high note. This evening when Mercury connects with Pluto, thinking and conversations may turn serious, efficient, and productive. There is strength and intensity in this connection which can be useful for plumbing the depths of the psyche; but things don't have to be so somber on this Saturday night. Mystery movies, games, and puzzles, or a dive into the occult, astrology, tarot, or mediumship can also be a fun and interesting way to submerge into this energy. You might learn a lot about your friends, partner or blind date through what first appears as superficial and social fun and games!

Daily Muse: Creativity is not a talent. It is a way of operating. (John Cleese).

  • SUNDAY
  • September 16
  • MOON in SAGITTARIUS

Moon Goes Void of Course 4:15pm
A pre-dawn connection between messenger Mercury and expansive Jupiter in thoughtful Scorpio could bring up some interesting ideas for breakfast or brunch conversations. But we may have to watch ourselves, as the Moon in zealous and opinionated Sagittarius might just offend the conservative values of Mercury in somewhat conservative and polite Virgo. Did I say too much, or go too far out of bounds? Despite the potential for being a bit too brash or over-the-top, today's emotional energy should be playful and youthful. Look for common ground and ways to align with others rather than searching for their faults and deficiencies and the differences between us.
This afternoon we conclude the first quarter of this lunar cycle as the Moon in expansive Sagittarius squares the Sun in pragmatic Virgo. Looking for truth is more complicated than adhering to hard and fast rules. We may want to hold to our principles while also allowing room for new information and ideas to shape our thoughts and behaviors.

Daily Muse:
Just let go. Let go of how you thought your life should be, and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into your consciousness. (Caroline Myss).

Mo Abdelbaki

I had the good fortune to speak to some nice people today about Tarot. They are also aficionados of the art and we had a lively and fun discussion. At one point a comment was made regarding the difference between the AE Waite deck and the Aleister Crowley deck, specifically as to the difference in their royalty. Waite went with a traditional approach and used a King as the elder male member of each suit. Crowley chose to use a Knight. (There are other differences, but we'll focus on this one.)

A fascinating theory was put forth that the reason Mr. Waite used the King was due to his belief that he could help to strengthen the monarchy. This makes great sense. In the early 1900s, when the deck was created, King Edward VII was the monarch in Britain. Queen Victoria, his mother, had a long and strong run as Queen of England. It only makes sense, since most practitioners of Tarot of that era believed their cards to have magic within them, that Waite's deck would do everything in its power to maintain the stability of such an opulent time. This profound insight made me think, often a dangerous situation.

The four suits of Tarot were reflections of four specific classes of society in Europe. These were the nobility represented by the wands, the cups as a representation of the clergy, the swords belonged to the military class and the disks, or pentacles, were relegated to just about everybody else dependent upon working and producing to make a living.

Once upon a time, the church (Cups) held immense power in society and all were beneath its domain. What we now call the Hierophant card was once known as the Pope. Eventually, the church lost its hold, not voluntarily, and the monarchy ruled supreme. There were also times when the actual ruling class were the Knights, soldiers who had free reign over the entire kingdom to do as they wished, as long as they made sure the monarchs got their cut. They became so powerful and rich that eventually the Knights Templar, one of the most famous of these groups, was destroyed (or so they thought). It's a long story but one worth delving into.

With this in mind, and with World War I looming upon the horizon, it makes perfect sense for the creator of a commercial Tarot deck to attempt to encode a strong monarchy, a symbol of stability, into the system. Some 30 years later, Aleister Crowley designed his Tarot and placed the Knights of the deck as the patriarchal elders of their suits. In other words, the soldiers were now in charge. This was, of course, the state of the world at the time. There are other reasons for his decision, but this is a fascinating bread crumb trail to follow.

Crowley's deck was created in the early 40s, during World War II, a time when the entire planet was under the shadow of horrific violence. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 million people died in World War II, definitely an era ruled by the sword.

It's fascinating to think back upon history to try to see whether Kings (Wands) or Knights (Swords) were in charge at one time or another. Queens, as holders of the Cup, certainly had their day. Have we seen the rulership of Disks yet?

If you hit your buzzer and shouted, “NOW!” then give yourself a cookie; you got it right. The clergy seems to be flailing, the monarchy has become less than potent, even if still popular, and warriors have seen fit to do their duty with less flash, but no less intensity. It would seem that those in charge now are oligarchs, creating plutocratic juggernauts. Massive corporations absorb others, increasing their power and influence. As we currently seeing, they may actually run everything. The question is, how long can this last?

I don't know for sure, but if history is any indicator, and it most certainly is, a new cycle will begin sooner or later. Hopefully, it will pass to the Princesses, for even though the Earthy part of their suit, They can also bestow a benevolent society where equality and love are as prevalent as greed and anger are now.

All it takes is for us to be conscious and to keep in mind that every Princess card in the deck is pregnant and holds the hopes and dreams of the future, while being strong, intelligent and resilient.

Let's dump the class system and connect with people who espouse our visions of love and respect. Tarot is wise. It teaches us more than we can imagine.

Until next week, I wish you all peace and love.

Dr. Elisa Robyn

I am so thrilled to be writing for the Power Peak and hope you enjoy my new segment. I will be offering a weekly kabbalah insight based on the ancient tradition of Mussar. This practice helps us focus on a different spiritual characteristic or "middah" each week. According to the kabbalists we grow spiritually when we emulate and deepen these characteristics. Some of the middah might be easier for us to understand and embody, while some seem impossible to comprehend. We are not asked to accomplish this task, only to participate in the process.

We start with a focus on humility, a foundational characteristic in Kabbalistic spiritual thought. We are not asked to give up our ego, only to recognize that we are not our ego. There is a teaching that we should always carry two pieces of paper with us. When we feel our ego expand we read the one that says “I am but dust and ashes.” When we struggle with finding our meaning or focus we read the one that says “the world was created for me.” Our task is to walk the road between these two extremes.

How do we accomplish this? We are given deceptively simple techniques. To begin with we need to admit our mistakes, first to ourselves and then to those around us. This step asks for honesty, not guilt. In fact, contrary to common assumptions, guilt is not part of the Kabbalah/Jewish tradition. We are taught that it has no value.

We are also asked to show our gratitude and appreciation to those around us. Saying thank you on a regular basis is a gift to our spirit and to those around us. And sometimes just being appreciative balances the tugs of our ego.

Humility also grows when we help others, especially if we help without expectation of recognition or reciprocation. Humility grows when we use the words excuse me, please, thank you, I am sorry, and can I help you. These simple phrases bring us closer to our spiritual center, to divinity, to the person we were meant to be.

Try living with humility for a week and note the changes in your sense of self, in your relationships and your spiritual life. The kabbalists suggest that these simple steps will deepen and enrich our spiritual experience and the experience of those around us.

P.S. Please tune into the Dr Elisa Show, Monday's at 10 pacific for more insights and inspiration. I am available on 12listen for deep one-on-one conversations and Kabbalistic readings. Feel free to ask for an appointment if I am not signed in. I look forward to helping you find your own inner inspiration on this spiritual journey.

Virgo Season: Acceptance is Key
Welcome back, beauties, to another addition of Weekly Grace.
Some of you may or may not know, every 12 Listen advisor has their own specialized emphasis and focus. Some utilize tarot cards, work with angels, astrology, channeling, etc. We also, through 12 Academy, allow for more learning opportunities for our advisors and community.
What I have always focused on is Core Issues. We all are reactors. We are born into life, we are told, "This is what it is". We adjust accordingly. We react to our then reality.
Yet deep down inside, we have a Spiritual Blue Print. A true compass that tells us, regardless of our experiences, what our highest calling might be. We can outgrow the limitations we have met. We can overcome adversity, oppression and distress. We can BE bigger than all these things.
In the course of doing energy work, I get a lot of requests. People ask to enhance certain aspects of themselves... and I have a BIG SECRET!!!
So many times, when people ask to be more strong... more attractive... more appealing. They are REALLY asking to unleash and unlock the hidden power inside.
We have adjusted to life. If life needs us, or more specifically our families, to be strong, we become super heroes. If they need obedience, intelligence, capability; we become it or rebel against it. This is referred to as the ego or the survival-self. It's a false persona, a mask, we wear to survive life... but not thrive. Our aim at 12Listen is to help you more beyond mere survival; we want you to thrive!
Whether it's weight loss, money, sex... we can all "white knuckle". Become what is most appealing. Pull back the carbs, the calories, the crazy, the unappealing. But for how long? How long until our shadow side peaks up... until those survival instincts become so uncomfortable, they eat the whole kitchen. Or lash out at our "perfect partners". Or skimp on responsibilities?
White knuckling isn't the answer. Being uncomfortable isn't the answer. CORE ISSUES, I feel, are the answer.
At the root of every problem, is a protective barrier preserving our Truer Selves. It's like, a little cocoon, that has collected our True Identifies and kept them safe for a time they would be safe to come out and play. So many times they are protected against abuse, shame, trauma... things that shouldn't happen, yet happen every day. We shield them with food, sex, money.... good and bad things. Things that are distractions from authenticity.
We can't ask these pure selves to come out without Protection. They need validation, support, encouragement. They have been put on hold and away for so long-- they need to know why. They need to know it wasn't their fault!
At the Core of Every Issues... is a person pushing their True Selves down. Their strongest instincts, intuition and power.
We are unaware; we don't understand what's happening. This all seems psychological- What the hell does this have to do with Psychics? EVERYTHING. This is Source; this is Spirit. You want to be strong? You want to be safe? You want to be attractive, mighty, powerful, iconic, amazing?
YOU ALREADY ARE. You just don't know it. Accept and unleash your power from within. The key you have been waiting for; the magical key that unlocks it ALL. It was buried in the place no one would suspect. It's buried deep inside yourself. Dig it up NOW. Accept it, find it, bring it forward.
You already are everything you've always wanted to be.
Big Hugs

The Power Peek is brought to you by: Mark Husson

The Astrological Forecast by C.A. Brooks

Monday August 6th through Sunday August 12th

Astrological Highlights for the week: Venus enters Libra on Monday; Uranus stations retrograde on Tuesday; New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo on Saturday and retrograding Mars re-enters Capricorn on Sunday

As Ed Sullivan used to say in opening his variety television program, “We have a big, really big show.” This week’s headliner is the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 18 Leo on Saturday. This is the third eclipse in a row and the second Solar Eclipse. However, the big event has some pretty interesting warm up acts that you won’t want to miss.

Venus enters her home sign of Libra on Monday. Relationships and creativity flourish; but it’s also time to take out the garbage, so to speak. If you really want your relationships to sparkle, don’t let them be tainted by old regrets, relationship baggage from the past, or even idealistic expectations that are dreamy but create havoc when real humans get together.

And speaking of moving beyond old habits and expectations, Uranus the revolutionary moves into a five-month retrograde on Tuesday. This brings the total number of planets metaphorically moving backwards to six! Despite our attempts to move forward, we are being continually told to look within and consolidate new foundations before expecting those manifestations to rise like skyscrapers. Part of this process is to blast through old baggage and regrets. Uranus can help us do that.

This is an important retrograde pattern. It will take Uranus back into the last degrees of fiery Aries. Did we forget something? Yes indeed. This fire will illuminate desires and inspire new dreams that can be manifested when Uranus returns to stable and earthy Taurus in 2019. Especially pay attention if you resonate to Aquarius energy (Uranus is the ruler) and/or if you have planets or house cusps at 27 – 29 degrees of any sign. (Especially Aries, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Capricorn) Uranus is opening you up and helping you break free of perceived restrictions and limitations.

Now back to that eclipse. Eclipses always carry the energy of imminent change and this one is no exception. This one finds the Sun and Moon forming inconjunct aspects to Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces and points to change of transformational proportions. Inconjuncts or quincunx aspects are challenging energies that stretch us. I often refer to inconjuncts as “rock in your shoe” energies. You know the drill. You shake your foot trying to dislodge the discomfort but it takes concerted effort to get that little pebble to move. Most of the time it seems to just change position!

Like shaking our foot to dislodge the uncomfortable rock, this energy requires an adjustment that goes much deeper than superficial shifts or modifications. In fact in the dramatic sign of Leo, known for authenticity and self-expression this may be nothing short of an identity crisis. Now I know this concept is usually considered negative, but is it really?

Isn’t this what we go through many times in our lives? Moving through important transitions – the birth of a sibling, first love affair, first breakup with a lover or a friend, going off to college, marriage, divorce, having children, getting a job, opening to spiritual truths and disciplines, experiencing the many highs and lows of blessings and losses. In many ways, we do change our identity and self-image as an adjustment to circumstances in our lives. When we are wise and lucky, we consciously initiate changes instead of waiting for those cosmic nudges and pushes.

We might feel confused by changing desires and tastes but instead of assuming it’s a negative thing, can we embrace this discomfort as growing pains? As with all eclipses, pay attention to signs, symbols, and messages. Something out of the ordinary may capture your interest, but it could also be something simple that turns out to be an important leverage for manifesting your dreams at a higher level as we move through the summer of retrogrades and into the autumn season.

This is a wild and wonderfully exhilarating cosmic ride. With many wheels spinning, many of us don’t really know where we will land. However, when we have faith in ourselves, in each other, and in the process, we can be assured, our new identities will be something we love.

Until next week, let go and wear loose clothes.

Monday August 6

Today’s Moon in curious Gemini is social and gregarious. Might be a good day to celebrate a professional win with a lunch out with co-workers or head home early for some family time. Today is a study in flexibility and tests our ability to create win-win situations. In late afternoon, the Sun in willful Leo makes a perfect square with expansive Jupiter in mysterious and introverted Scorpio. This could create an internal conflict when we realize the attainment of a goal or acquiring something we wished for just doesn’t hit the mark.

This is a fairly common human trait! We ceaselessly look for that special something or someone to complete us. Sidebar: we are whole; we just tend to forget! But that being said, life on planet earth does come with some limitations and restrictions and when we bump up against them, we fight like hell or sometimes we just lower our expectations and surrender. Is there no middle ground?

Also in late afternoon, in fact at the same time the Sun is fighting with Jupiter, Venus takes on the role of diplomat and facilitator. She gracefully glides into one of her home signs – creative, gracious and good natured Libra. This may not solve all and any scrapes we get into today, but it certainly will help as Venus in Libra puts a premium on relationships and getting along. Polite, well-mannered, and interested in beauty, balance and diplomacy, Venus in Libra is a role model for relationships. Well, some people’s role model anyway! Traditionally, Libra represents “we” and “us”. Finding the most comfortable way to combine our lives with others is part of her mission. Grace Kelly, actress and later the Princess of Monaco, born with Venus in Libra is reported to have said, “Getting angry doesn’t solve anything. I don’t like yelling and fighting and I can’t quarrel.” Not sure if she was able to fully demonstrate this sentiment, but it certainly reflects Venus in harmony-loving Libra.

Daily Muse: We all do better when we work together. Our differences do matter, but our common humanity matters more. (Bill Clinton – Venus in Libra)

Tuesday August 7

The usually chatty Gemini Moon is a touch more introverted today as the Moon continues to lose light as it slowly moves towards its destined meeting with the Sun on Saturday morning. Uranus the planet of revolutions and rebellion begins a five-month retrograde pattern which encourages us to look within for the cause of conflict and uneasiness. It’s so much easier to blame something external!

With Uranus moving retrograde this brings the total number of planets metaphorically moving backwards to six. Despite our attempts to move forward, we are being continually told to look within and consolidate new foundations before expecting those manifestations to rise like skyscrapers. Part of this process is to blast through old baggage and regrets.

In at least one place in your life you need a clean slate! As one of the slow moving planets, with an 84 year orbit around the sun and taking an average of 7 years to move through an individual astrological sign, this is an important retrograde pattern. It will take Uranus back into the last degrees of fiery Aries. Did we forget something? Yes indeed. This fire will illuminate desires and inspire new dreams that can be manifested when Uranus returns to stable and earthy Taurus in 2019. Especially pay attention if you resonate to Aquarius energy (Uranus is the ruler) and/or if you have planets or house cusps at 27 – 29 degrees of any sign (especially Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). Uranus is opening you up and helping you break free of perceived restrictions and limitations.

A sweet and dynamic connection between cosmic soul mates Venus and Mars bodes well for evening trysts and an opportunity to get on the same page with a lover or partner.

Wednesday August 8

The Moon in sensitive Cancer is looking both backwards and forwards today trying to find meaning in what looks to be chaos. In the final few days of the lunar cycle we are often introspective and sometimes quiet and even withdrawn. Multiple planetary connections add to the chorus of energy including a confusing inconjunct between the Sun and Neptune, an opposition between Venus and Chiron, and the Sun’s meeting with retrograding Mercury.

In the midst of lots of noise, instead of talking louder we might try getting quiet. Pulling away for a few hours or even a few minutes can help us sort through the details and our feelings. As we look at the past, the focus should be in remembering the stories worth telling and forgiving the others.

Cancer is the sign of home and family so don’t be surprised if this is where your heart is today. But this can also be a time for deep inner reflection. This is where private time becomes valuable as we are able to better assess our purpose and function within a family, partnership, or group with greater clarity. If solitude is calling you, don’t be guilted into participating in a social situation. Listen to your own intuition and heart.

Thursday August 9

The water seems kind of muddy today and the path a bit unclear; but then again looks can be deceiving! We are in the midst of some dynamic cosmic energy with so many planets retrograde (six!) and navigating the choppy waters of three eclipses – two behind us and one straight ahead. It’s enough to make your head spin!

Today even our hearts may feel confused as Venus has uncomfortable run-ins with both Uranus the rebel and Saturn the organizer. We might feel like we are caught in a dilemma from which there is no acceptable way out or solution. It’s temporary folks! But it is an indication that we may not have all the information we need or the resources to make an important life changing decision. It’s coming, but not quite yet. As we come to the New Moon Eclipse on Saturday and resolve the Mars and Mercury retrogrades, indeed, the information we need appears and the path is revealed. Learning to deal with indecision and ambiguity is an art. Thankfully Venus in Libra is our help and guide even if she herself feels a bit perplexed today.

Relationships may feel a bit rocky, but if possible avoid making any sweeping declarations or demands. The circumstances are quickly changing. This is probably not the time to pick up your marbles and go home. But then again, trust yourself and your intuition. Life is a curriculum and there is something to be learned at every crossroads and through every choice.

Friday August 10

Last night the Moon quietly slipped into Leo. Ordinarily this isn’t such a calm or subdued event for the sign of self-expression, and drama. However, as you follow the Moon cycles you may begin to notice when we get to the end of the lunar cycle (New Moon tomorrow) no matter what the sign of the Moon, the mood is more philosophical, introspective and even wise.

We may struggle a bit today about our beliefs and definitions of concepts like “truth” and “integrity”. This evening the Moon will square Jupiter in penetrating Scorpio and just a few minutes later will meet up with Mercury. Are we as good as our word? Are we trustworthy? Do the ends justify the means? Despite our protestations that we are truth seekers and truth tellers, is that really so? Think about how you answer difficult questions you don’t want to answer or inquiries from children. Have you ever stretched the truth or told a little white lie?

I have a feeling there are some cathartic moments on tap for this evening! When retrograding Mercury in Leo squares Jupiter late night, there could be a breakthrough. It might feel like something is broken and so be it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s an opening we can use for greater understanding of ourselves and others. If you find yourself in a dicey or uncomfortable conversation opt for saying nothing instead of going for a cover up. Secrets may be revealed and lies illuminated. We can’t get away with much tonight, so don’t try.

Saturday August 11

Today’s headliner is the New Moon Solar Eclipse at 18 Leo.

Sunday August 12

Mars has been somewhat quiet this week, methodically moving backwards in its retrograde cycle. Today he creates a ripple in the cosmic pond when he returns to earthy and pragmatic Capricorn. Once again we are reminded of the importance of getting our facts straight and our ducks in a row. This foundation building sign helps us fill in any missing pieces and build stronger platforms from which to launch this fall and winter.

The Moon in fellow earth sign Virgo quietly takes care of business. Virgo’s penchant for solitude and being left alone to do her work might get interrupted today. New information or messages arrive that may or may not be worth acting on. Don’t take things at face value. Follow-up and do your homework.

Daily Muse: Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one a second time. (George Bernard Shaw)

Out of Mo's Mind by Mo Abdelbaki

mo_banner_pp.jpg

2 days ago, I noticed that leaves on our Maple tree were turning red along the veins. Yesterday, one of the leaves had turned a brilliant red overnight, with others beginning to change. By the end of the day, several leaves in the same area had turned, with one red leaf lying on the ground. It’s beginning.

Do leaves begin turning in the summer? They do so in our civil calendars, but those schedules aren’t related to Nature, as much as to convenience. In the old calendars, summer is over and autumn has begun. It happens every year around the first week in August and has for thousands of years. Watch and see what’s happening around you.

Although plant life is still green and abundant and the Green Man is still strong, a change is beginning. It won’t be long until the signs of the next season are obvious, with the days getting shorter and the nights cooler. As I write this, it's 96° outside, and it probably seems ludicrous to proclaim that fall has begun, but that's just the way it is.

Grasses everywhere are ripening, some of them showy, with great, plumed, purple stalks waving in the wind. Others are quietly releasing their seeds in an attempt to spread themselves as far and wide as they possibly can.

Harvests have already begun. Here in Colorado, we have a bumper crop of peaches and our local corn is at the stores already. In the old days, this would've been a sign of a benevolent energy, rewarding the good people for their hard work. I choose to think that way still, even though just about everything has changed when it comes to agrarian life. The one thing that hasn't changed has been the sweat, toil, and labor of those who bring our food to the table. Once upon a time, this work was a joyous, loving chore. I never take any of it for granted.

I look at this time of year as an opportunity to tidy up those things that may have gone undone to this point. In that old calendar, ruled so accurately by the dynamics of nature, we have 90 days until the beginning of winter. Samhain will bring a quieter time, one that always thrills me, as it is a season of immense power and spiritual strength. It's also a great time to sit with a hot cup of tea and knit by the fireplace.

We aren't there yet. We've just begun an active time for humans. For millennia we've been racing against the clock in order to get as much done as possible, before the weather turns to cold, to sustain our food sources. Our natural, inner, biological calendars are taking note. Of course, have fun and enjoy this glorious time of the year, as every day is a gift in one form or another, but don't neglect the excitement of watching one of the most glorious displays of color and aroma that this earth has to offer. Take it all in.

The show is beginning, and we are a part of it, whether we know it or not.

Until next week, I wish you all peace and love.

Weekly Grace by Grace ray

WEEKLY GRACE

Though some are really enjoying the Leo Season

the aspects suggest an open window opportunity that allows for change, transformation and expediting our goals and dreams.

I saw a Meme on Instagram of a bloodied ballerina foot,

"Everyone wants success, but doesn't want to do the work to get there."

This resonated strongly with me! And is so true. Sometimes we get so caught up in our dreams, our goals, that we can almost forget why we are doing it in the first place.

Is it for the glory, the validation and the applause? (I say this as a former LA- Actress.... that was my Life! LOL)

When we create goals for the validation or approval of others, we are not in a place of humility. Humility, ultimately being,

not superior to others... and not inferior to others. And being "less than, not enough" is usually the driving force or the core issue that

turns people into hamsters spinning on a wheel as fast as they can.

GOOD NEWS! This Season, kicks us off the wheel. If you watch Game of Thrones, Khaleesi would LOVE THIS. This doesn't defeat the wheel,

it shatters it! It pulls us out of the place of delusion and shows us the truth. We are able to assess reality and see what really needs to change, and that can be scary.

To realize we do have to change our ways and do something else in order to be successful, happy and healthy.

How to Change

Mercury Retrograde, which lasts another 2 weeks, is uncomfortable for the disappointment, bad news, and realizations that can be negative. On the other hand, it is a reassessment of our methods

. If things are working well, we will appreciate them more. We will be more certain that they are working in our favor. If things are not going well, we will not be Rejected by the Universe...

only Redirected! Meaning, it will be a clear sign, "This isn't working for you!"

The natural response is to freak right out in disappointment. And then shut that instinct down. Please do not; what we resist, only persists!!!

Instead, allow your natural, organic emotions to come out and be expressed. The absolute best way is to talk to a beloved friend, counselor or person whom you can trust. Allow them to validate your concerns and know that at the end of the day... this isn't your fault. You don't have to go it alone. This isn't a punishment. This is just the beginning of a new journey! You are loved!

Once we process those fears and emotions, we can seek discernment. We can seek a new way of doing things; to live in the grey, rather than the black and white.

We are never against a wall, no matter how much it feels that way.

This is a really good exercise in the old saying, "things do not have to change, I do".

Meaning, if something isn't going our way, right now is not the time to feel victimized. Instead, just this Season, we look inside ourselves:

at our motives, thoughts, beliefs and realize what we CAN control v. what we can not.

It also always helps to get a psychic perspective. A little peek into the future, or some guidance can go a long way!!!

It's almost over... but so important to embrace this moment! I love you and I am truly so proud of your bravery, fearlessness and ability to stay open.

Your Power Center by Kristi Brower

Your solar plexus chakra is at the base of your sternum. It is usually yellow and is the center of personal power, will and self esteem in your life. It is your powerhouse, and governs how you extend your will into the world. When it is balanced you are confident and strong and you stand up for what you want. When it is out of balance you can feel weak, allow yourself to be controlled by others and lose sight of what you really want. You can also become defensive and angry, using your will to control those around you.

Balancing power is a lifelong challenge we all face. Finding happiness means balancing power, putting yourself in the driver's seat of your life. Give up too much power and lose your identity, wield too much power and take someone else’s. Solar Plexus balance is a challenge that takes a toolkit to maintain.

Join me for Kindred Spirits on Friday, 8/10 at 10 am PST on 12radio.com for a look at Solar Plexus balance and the tools needed to keep you in charge.

I see you, I love you, you matter,

Monday August 6 thru Sunday August 12

MONDAY
AUGUST 6
MOON in GEMINI
Venus enters Libra

TUESDAY
AUGUST 7
MOON in GEMINI/CANCER
Moon Void of Course 12:55am enters Cancer 9:01pm
Uranus Moves Retrograde

New information or messages arrive that may or may not be worth acting on. Don’t take things at face value. Follow-up and do your homework.

It happens every year around the first week in August, and has for thousands of years.

The one thing that hasn't changed has been the sweat, toil and labor of those who bring our food to the table.

Your Power Center

Though some are really enjoying the Leo Season,
the aspects suggest an open window opportunity that allows for change, transformation and expediting our goals and dreams.

Mercury Retrograde, which lasts another 2 weeks, is uncomfortable for the disappointment, bad news and realizations that can be negative. On the other hand, it is a reassessment of our
methods.

A little peak into the future, or some guidance, can go a long way!!!

It's almost over... but so important to embrace this moment! I love you and I am truly so proud of your bravery, fearlessness and ability to stay open.

Taurus Moon goes Void of Course at 4:46pm and enters Gemini 6:32pm PDT

Thought for the Day: Stay grounded

The Moon in stable Taurus is still seeking security today. We are more attracted to the sure thing, than to taking unnecessary chances or risks. We are drawn to familiar comforts and anything that makes are bodies feel good. Sleeping in might be a good choice followed by a tasty and leisurely brunch. We are pleasure seeking machines this afternoon when the Moon aligns with Venus. Treat yourself, while keeping in mind what you think will bring you happiness just might be something surprising and unexpected.

The Moon’s entry into verbal Gemini this evening sets the stage for a lighthearted evening, or at least a social one. Conversations may be more serious than we anticipate as the Moon aligns with Mars in revolutionary and forward-thinking Aquarius. Conspirators unite!

Last Quarter Moon in Taurus

Thought for the Day: Play today; pay tomorrow

Today the Moon enters the last quarter of its cycle as the Sun in willful Leo squares the Moon in conservative Taurus. Money, finances, resources, and security may be on our minds as sunny and optimistic Leo is seeking to satisfy desires, and Taurus is keenly aware of the price and tradeoffs. The Moon in Taurus is taking a longer view and with a lunar opposition to Jupiter we might be concerned about letting our expansive and expensive tastes run up the credit card bills. A positive lunar connection to Neptune lets us imagine how satisfaction can be found in non-material outlets including creativity and spirituality. Instead of buying something new, perhaps we can feel fulfilled with more organic activities like spending time with friends and family, being outside, enjoying nature, walking, hiking, biking, playing sports, working on a hobby or craft, or talking about future plans.

Quarter Moons are always time to settle up, or re-negotiate. We don’t have to give up our dreams; in fact we should be diligent in nurturing them. Paving the way to success tomorrow, may include taking a more cautious and practical route today that keeps our options open.

There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub.

ARIES MOON enters TAURUS 12:51pm  PDT

Thought for the Day: No time like the present

We are not feeling sorry for ourselves today, or waiting for someone else to pick up the slack. As the Moon leaves Aries and crosses over into earthy Taurus mid-day, we are ready to get to work. It might be a Friday and the end of the traditional work-week but that doesn’t stop us from making plans and taking action. If we can’t get something moving today, we will strategize instead. Instead of seeing obstacles, we begin to see alternate paths. Ok, there is a small delay or hiccup in the afternoon when the Moon squares Mars, but as the Moon connects with innovative Uranus a bit later, we are visionaries on a mission! Evening plans, even if the intention is purely social, will include an opportunity to network, strategize, or share our plans with willing listeners or partners. This is a great evening for talking about the future and making plans.

Today on the Friday Morning Show, please join me and guest, Susan Dugan for a thoughtful discussion based on A Course In Miracles. Why wait for heaven? You will find us live on 12Radio.com at 8 am Pacific – 11 Eastern. (Program note: Starting August 17th, this show will move into a new time slot – 9 am Pacific – Noon Eastern.)

I must uphold my ideals, for perhaps the time will come when I shall be able to carry them out.

ARIES MOON Goes Void of Course at 7:52pm enters TAURUS FRIDAY 12:51pm PDT

Thought for the Day: Wait and see

The Moon in assertive Aries may be feeling unappreciated or slightly rebuffed today as it heads toward a conflict with Pluto in late afternoon. If recognition and accolades are not forthcoming, don’t give up. We may feel like we are in a desert, void of fresh air or refreshing water; but it’s a temporary situation. Don’t let negativity or pessimism get the better of you.

If work or personal issues are pressing, maybe this is a time to reconsider your commitments and responsibilities, especially in light of new options. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of last week foretold of changes and the wisdom of completing cycles. Will we be ready to begin again on the New Moon Solar Eclipse in August? Those new beginnings are contingent on our ability to finish, tie up loose ends, and clear our agendas.

If you are feeling like a square peg in a round hole, maybe it’s time to seriously consider some adjustments! But on the other hand, don’t give up on a good thing, whether it’s a project, job, relationship, or dream. This might just be a temporary challenge or setback. Tonight when the Moon makes a creative alliance with Mercury, we may see a completely different side to this picture.

live in a crazy time.

Wednesday August 1

TAURUS MOON enters ARIES at 3:54am PDT

Thought for the Day: Teams of Individuals are a powerful force

When the Moon slides out of introspective Pisces and marches into fiery Aries, let’s just say, we tend to notice! I’m hearing strains of “there is a new sheriff in town”. If you know what I mean! This Moon in courageous Aries can be rambunctious and loud first thing this morning as it is fueled by a connection to Aries’ ruling planet Mars. However, moving too fast and without caution could get us in a little bit of hot water mid-morning when the Moon puts on the brakes as it squares authoritarian Saturn. Maybe not the best time to confront the boss or other authority figures.

Despite the Aries need to meet challenges head-on sometimes acting alone or as an individual is not the way to accomplish a goal. We may not want to cooperate today, but collaboration will probably net better results than solo efforts. There is probably something we don’t know, or a missing piece of vital information. Partnering with someone else may help fill in the gap. Be discerning who you choose to trust or partner with, but when you find someone who is a good fit, join efforts.

Although this advice is probably well suited for tonight as well, a new development prompts us to pull back and see others as competitors or even enemies. Mars in rebellious Aquarius squares off with equally revolutionary Uranus in Taurus. This is a combustible combination with some interesting twists and sub-plots as Mars is currently in Aquarius, the sign ruled by Uranus. The message may very well be, “do your homework and scope out the situation” before charging ahead with inadequate preparation or information. Beware of risky behaviors, leaping off tall buildings,  or jumping to conclusions.

Force is all conquering, but its victories are short lived.

PISCES MOON Goes Void of Course at 3:42pm enters ARIES WEDNESDAY 3:54am

Thought for the Day: Giving to others with no strings attached

Pisces has a lot in common with her opposite sign Virgo. Yes, there are important differences and approaches; but one thing they share is the desire, even the need to be of service to others. Under the influence of a Pisces Moon we may feel particularly motivated to come to the aid of others. This may be especially true today as the Pisces Moon connects with Pisces’ ruling Planet Neptune. Our dreams may include many elevated visions of healing, or coming to the rescue. This Moon also connects with Pluto encouraging us to believe in our gifts of channeling transformational energy.

As the Moon also opposes Venus this afternoon, we are reminded to find a healthy balance in our giving. The minute we start seeing ourselves as saviors, or superior to those we are serving, we ought to be seeing the red flags waving! Likewise if we forget we are merely the facilitators or midwives in this process. Maybe we can help most when we serve as mentors and role models. If you really want to be of service, remember first to take care of your own business and come from a place of strength. Give consciously with no strings attached.

Today on Simpletales we’ll explore the idea of learning how to unhook from and “unfollow” our past and old dreams. Please join me on 12Radio.com at 10 am Pacific – 1 Eastern.

There is within each one of us a potential for goodness beyond our imagining; for giving which seeks no reward; for listening without judgment; for loving unconditionally.

Monday July 30

Moon is in Pisces

Thought for the Day: When do boundaries become defenses?

Let’s be real here. We have had some pretty wild emotional swings this past week, especially with the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse last Friday. Do you feel like you need to close the doors and windows and just hide out for awhile? Consider yourself lucky if this does not describe you! The Moon is back in a very sensitive and intuitive water sign today. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces is able to tune into all the signs that come before her and we can feel somewhat like a psychic sponge. Today we need to calm the choppy seas and drop anchor in a safe harbor. For each of us, this means something different. Knowing what makes you feel safe, connected, and hopeful is a valuable tool in your repertoire.

There is really only one significant lunar aspect creating a ripple over this deep pond when the Moon reaches out and connects with Jupiter in the deep and mysterious waters of Scorpio. Very much like water, the deeper we go the calmer we feel. We can avoid the crashing of the waves by consciously moving past the superficial and focusing on what is underneath. Pisces Moons can be times for significant healing and creativity. Open your physical, emotional and psychic ears and listen to the incoming messages.

If you are feeling a little beat up by circumstances or events set some appropriate boundaries, but avoid going too far and being defensive. Defenses are a message to your psyche that you are vulnerable and a victim. Not true! This is a good day to focus on alternative interpretations and changing your perspective. Pisces is the planet associated with hypnotism, altered states of consciousness, photography, movies, and spirituality. Be creative in your problem solving and approach today.

Astrological Highlights for the week: by C.A. Brooks

Monday July 30th through Sunday August 5th

ca_banner_pp.jpg

Mars squares Uranus on Wednesday; the Moon enters its final quarter of this cycle on Saturday; otherwise it’s pretty quiet out there.

This week I saw a television ad for a car. Yada, yada, yada. I’m not sure I was even really watching the screen, when I heard something that captured my attention. “Sometimes you have to unfollow our dreams to chase new ones.” Our English language is such a dynamic and evolving reflection of who we are. “Unfollow”, certainly a word contrived to capture the dynamic of quitting or discontinuing our following someone or something on social media. The word sort of grates on my ears; but nevertheless I get and appreciate the meaning.

The reason it really captured my attention in the advertisement, is because to “unfollow” is a conscious choice. Although it may sound so obvious, how often do we get caught in the trap of spinning our wheels not realizing an old dream is just that, an old outdated goal that no longer holds interest or purpose? To chase new dreams, we do indeed need to unhook from the old ones and maybe from some outdated ideas of what makes us satisfied and happy.

This is a timely topic this week as we are between the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and approaching the next New Moon Solar Eclipse on August 11th. This cycle of three eclipses in a row seems particularly powerful for being excited about a new direction, clearing off our plates, and initiating something new. This week, empowered and inspired by the Full Moon of last week, we are clearing the decks. This is the week, to consciously decide what we want to “unfollow.” If we look at our commitments and responsibilities objectively, we might realize it is time to delegate some, finish some others, and simply abandon those that are no longer viable or pertinent.

I encourage you to not take this task lightly. We want to move into the future with a clean slate. Don’t underestimate the power of consciously choosing to “unfollow” your past! Do we know how to purposefully, and compassionately say goodbye? It takes a lot more than a simple click on a social media site, or does it? Let’s explore this together and put some sincere thought into moving forward consciously and compassionately. We don’t need to be in a hurry to put the past behind us, but we don’t need to carry unnecessary baggage either. Just like the airlines that charge for checked bags, our psyches have a way of making us pay for baggage too! Ready to chase some new dreams? Let’s unfollow some old ones.

Until next week, let go and wear loose clothes.

Today on Simpletales we’ll explore the idea of learning how to unhook from and “unfollow” our past and old dreams. Please join me on 12Radio.com at 10 am Pacific – 1 Eastern.

I had the good fortune to escort a group of fellow travelers on a guided meditation the other day. It was in honor of the lunar eclipse, the longest of the 21st century. I took the group to the Giza Plateau, a sacred and powerful site. What struck me the most was how very quiet it was. We watched the moon rise from behind the Great Pyramid, as it did in real life, if standing beside the Sphinx, and then watched the eclipse overtake it, the moon turning a sacred, red tone so beloved by the ancient Egyptians. It was glorious. It was quiet.

It's been shrill lately. Coming from a culture and society which seems to be at a fever pitch and going to an ancient site, at an ancient time, was enlightening. It absolutely showed me what the level of energetic chaos, the fever pitch of hysteria and anxiety, is like right now. Standing next to the massive Sphinx, thousands of miles, and thousands of years away from political crisis, tariffs and allies, severe weather updates, forest fires, random acts of violence and a lack of civility, was a rest that I needed. It made me understand that I need more of such serene moments.

It seems that we've become used to being yelled at and cajoled. What once was a general suggestion, gently put in order not to offend tender listeners, is now a steady stream of hollering, bullying, intimidation and fear mongering. It's nearly impossible to get away from the tensions of the modern world. You are probably reading this on a computer of some sort. If so, you are open to any number of viruses, scams, marketing ploys, and out and out criminal activities aimed at getting your Social Security number, all your money, or worse. As this has now become a part of our reality, tension sits within our energetic systems, on constant alert.

It’s said that Adolf Hitler would make his audience wait for him, sometimes for well over an hour. As they waited, a high-pitched tone was deliberately played over the loudspeakers. This tone was inaudible to a large part of the audience, but they heard it subconsciously and it caused a state of anxiety and irritation that brought them to a fever pitch by the time he took the stage. That high-pitched noise is the very essence of our society right now. Not all of it is deliberate. All of it is potentially toxic.

The silence and peace that I experienced the other day, on that guided meditation to the Giza Plateau during a total lunar eclipse, was a stark reminder of how little peace and silence there is right now. The energy was calm and secure. The setting was safe and sacred. We all need more safe and sacred in our lives.

If you meditate, stick with it. If you watch the news every night, find a way to counter that activity. Perhaps if you read some Winnie the Pooh, or Lewis Carroll, you'll discover the inner reflection of a quieter, less shrill time. If you don't meditate, go on an excursion of the mind, either by yourself or with someone. Mentally project yourself to a place you've always wanted to go, or somewhere you've been that brought you a sense of calm. Stay there for a while. Don't be surprised if you are visited, and never presume that those visitors aren't real.

Shrill. Things aren’t going to change in the near future, but we can deal with it successfully and in a self empowered way. It’s easy and can be spectacular. I’m here to help, if I can.

Until next week, I wish you all peace and love.

Even though the Eclipse has passed, the initial energy is present and my meditation is still pertinent. The Lunar Eclipse guided meditation is available in recorded format (MP3), in excellent sound quality, and is available at 12listen.com https://prodca.click4talk.com/c4a/admin/users_ebs_link.php?ebs_id=6752&aid=64281

Friday August 3

Paving the way to success tomorrow may include taking a more cautious and practical route today that keeps our options open.

Sunday August 5

Daily Muse: To create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail.   Giorgio Armani

Weekly Grace with Grace Rae

Hi beauties... thank you for joining me today. Looking at the Astrology we have quite a bit of Retrogrades happening this week. I want to focus on what this can mean for you and how to handle it. Don't worry... it's like an astrological slingshot. Or a star-riddled ballet plie.

What goes down builds energy to shoot forward. This is the uncomfortable moment but there is SO MUCH you can do to make this energy work for you.

Retrogrades

Mercury in Leo: Mercury Retrograde usually cues on tv, film or articles, images of people screaming and running for cover. What it essentially means is that the planet Mercury,  the messenger of the gods, is seemingly moving backward. It can be a bit of an evil twist. If you've ever heard the old saying, "Evil is beauty, slightly twisted", it would implicate that planet Mercury goes from Messenger of the Gods to Messages from Hell! Bad news is coming... and don't make any agreements! Don't make any sudden moves during this time.

Truth is, there is no "bad news" or adversity that isn't secretly laced with equal, if not more, opportunity. Say, you get fired. What does that mean? Are you going to beat yourself up and dwell in a position of absolute hopelessness? We hope not. We suggest you, instead, get some Guidance and reassurance! Split the shame and self- berating thoughts by opening up to those you love. Get the encouragement and objective advice you need... because the Universe isn't REJECTING YOU!!!! It's redirecting you... for something bigger, better and so much more amazing than what you had before.

P.S. The fact that it's in Leo means it'll hurt, or humble, your grandiosity and self-worth. Why? So you don't rely on the superficial aspects. Know thyself and treasure thyself, not for WHAT you do, but for WHO you are.

Mars in Aquarius: Mars is the God of War. In Retrograde, you don't have that same fight. Aquarius deals with outside the box thinking... so basically, it's back to basics here! Don't over think or overwork yourself. This is the time to SLOW DOWN!!!! Don't work HARDER, work SMARTER.

Saturn in Capricorn: Saturn is the teacher and Capricorn represents perseverance. This can have a negative connotation that you'll most likely, instead of being taught how to persevere, will be taught how to surrender to support and help. EMBRACE IT. It makes work, love and life so much easier than self-reliance! You don't have to go it alone.

Neptune in Pisces: All of the other planets are supporting this spiritual self-development time. It's an indicator that the areas of Ryou life in which you escape will be reexamined.

Pluto in Capricorn: God of the Underworld represents the Subconscious forces. Since this is in Capricorn and Retrograde, they do not stay beneath- areas of militant attitudes and childhood traumas "detox" into the conscious mind for change.

Chiron in Aries: Inner-child issues are re-examined around, again, strong forces that put us on a hamster wheel. What are the areas in life you aim to control to avoid abandonment? Those need to be changed! So that old, negative and dark voices of Shame do not rule your present-day existence.

All-in-all, these are some pretty hefty issues being brought to the forefront. The key to dealing with this time is to Flow WITH the Universe and Not against it. Your highest reality is absolutely in mind. Seek guidance, objective truth and wisdom; you will absolutely get it as well as the insight you need to Manifest your deepest Truths!

Big Hugs,

Grace

Kristi's Quill: Trusting the Process

kristi_banner_pp.jpg

In my work as a professional Psychic and spiritual counselor I have noticed a trend lately. So many of my clients are striving constantly for growth, change and continuous self-improvement. I am all for the good work and happy to support, but want to suggest one edit to the constancy of striving for change.  We need time to adjust to change, to grow into our new selves, to recover from the upheaval that growth can bring into our lives. I offer you 5 ways to allow for  adjustment and rejuvenation while walking the spiritual path.

1. We are connected to the earth, the seasons and the tides just like all living things. Our planet gives us beautiful cycles of growth and then rest and renewal each day. Trust the cycles. Sleep when it is dark and work when it is light. Follow the energy of the seasons,  Spring is a time of renewal, summer is a time of action and growth, fall is a time to reap the rewards of our hard work and and winter is a time to rest, go within, and prepare for the spring.

2. All change, even the good kind, causes stress and requires time for adjustment. Work at changing only one thing at a time in your life. Set priorities and time lines and follow them. Recognize that your body and mind require time to adjust to new experiences, give yourself breaks between times of change to heal and recover.

3. When you feel like changing everything, change one thing. Give yourself time to adjust and then re-evaluate. Often when we feel dissatisfied with everything we just need to change one thing and watch the effect that one change has in every area of our lives.

4. There is nothing wrong with you, you are great, right now, this very moment. We get caught up in this idea of constant growth and self-improvement and forget to appreciate who we are, where we have come from and the growth we have already made. Take a break from striving for more and really appreciate who you are right now.

5. Trust the process. Growth and change take time. Allow things to play out naturally. Don't push and recognize barriers as a message that you need to change direction. Divine timing is always at work in our lives, follow the synchronicities, don't force anything.

Join me for Kindred Spirits on Friday, 8/3 at 10 am PST on 12radio.com. Let's talk about trusting the process and allowing our lives to play out naturally.

I see, I love you, you matter,

Kristi

Out of Mo's Mind by Mo Abdelbaki

mo_banner_pp.jpg

The Lunar Eclipse guided meditation is available in recorded format (MP3), in excellent sound quality, and is available at 12listen.com .
