Questioning Your Beliefs by Nancy Newman

When was the last time you sat down and questioned your beliefs? For example, I could ask myself why I believe I am no good at math. But is that really true? Where did that belief come from?  Do I still believe it simply because someone in the past told that me to me?  Would I be better off if I dropped that belief?

I believe thoughts shape our lives and our experiences. What are you thinking right this very second? Is it a thought you would want to become true for you? Whatever we send out verbally or in thought will come back to us in like form

Now, if this sounds a bit simplistic, that’s because it IS!  What we want to be mirrored back to us, we must first send out! And, even what we DON'T want mirrored back to us, will come back if we send it out! We sure don’t want thoughts of worry, revenge, anger, hurt coming back to us.  I'm sure you've heard it said many times: Like attracts like. It sounds so simple because it is!

Haven't you been in a grumpy mood, and it seems like nothing goes right the whole day? Do you think: "It figures. I started out my day on the wrong side of the bed, and nothing has gone right since!" How about the reverse, when you think: "This is my lucky day! I can do no wrong!"  Don’t you usually go buy a lottery ticket on those days? What is the only difference between those two days? Your BELIEF! It is your belief that you are either going to attract good or bad luck, and so you do! It is mirrored back to you.

So question your beliefs! Do you have long-held beliefs like you aren't good at math, you aren't creative, you aren't a good housekeeper, or you aren't a good mother-wife-friend-whatever? Where did that belief first come from? Who suggested it to you? Do you know it to be absolutely true? Would your life be better off if you dropped that belief?  Then change it!

Our life and health right now are the result of  our thinking the last second, the last minute, the last hour, the last day, the last month, the last year, and so on. But the point of power for change is RIGHT NOW. This moment. Your life can change in this moment when your thinking changes in the next second, minute, hour, month, year and so on.

Question your beliefs. Keep the ones that are bringing you joy. Change the ones that do not bring you joy. The point of power is NOW!
